At Buro Loods I was tasked with designing a new Ford showroom in Arnhem. Previously a Lexus showroom, the challenge was to adapt Ford’s global design to the existing architecture.
The project involved general design layouts, zoning, technical furniture drawings, electrical plans & floor plans. In addition to this, a new Aluca shop-in-shop specifically was designed for this showroom.

FORD
The Ford showroom in Arnhem is a large scale dealership location for cars as well as vans. All the design and layout choices were adapted to the official Ford guidelines. This includes customer areas, sales areas, a delivery car zone as well as car podiums.

ALUCA
Aluca is a company that tailors custom fittings for professionally used vans. The company never had a retail space and this was its first pilot shop located within the Ford dealership showroom. At Buro Loods I was tasked to design the retail concept for Aluca shop-in-shop.

In Aluca shop-in-shop clients are invited to get to know the product and learn how it can be integrated into their company car. The design of the shop reflects the product itself. Industrial, technical and factory-inspired look. The fittings are used in a shop as furniture elements. The interior is a reflection of what you can experience in a workshop space inside the van.
layout
The position of the store is at the front end of the Ford showroom, with easy accessibility to the workshop area. Ford van sales area are just in front of the open Aluca entrance. The center of the store is a service island – a space for clients to get all the information and configure their product. A – displays the products. B – is a branded company wall and C – a communication wall.
