CONCEPT STORE

The brief was to create a concept-boutique store that would be a feminine shopping oasis and a social media-inspired shopping experience. The customer can experience becoming a fashion blogger while shopping at #Blogged die Boutique.

about

01

CONCEPT

The concept was to translate a virtual blog into a physical blog space. With a colourful social media backgrounds, selfie-friendly mirrors and engaging actions customers could browse the store.

mood

pastel boost

A light atmosphere. A story told in color. Shiny and reflective. Pose & blog in front of a stage of products. Soft to the touch.

02

LOOK & FEEL

The look & feel of the shop had to reflect elegance and feel contemporary. Marble, gold surfaces and velvet textiles combined with concrete flooring and white walls. To present as an urban background for bloggers. The gradient wallpaper acts as an accent detail and cuts through the white surrounding.

01

EXTERIOR

The entrance to the store is emphasised with the golden branded arch and creates an inviting doorway. The arch is a recurring element throughout the store.

layout

The center of the store serves as the entrance welcome area, brand wall and check out. The right side of the store is a shopping space.  While the left area is focused on experience, a photoshoot area, lounge and personal trolley.

03

ZONING

lounge

The lounge serves as the social media “stage” with a brightly illuminated selfie mirror, trolley to hang all the selected outfits and lounge to hang out with friends.

interior visualisations

interior versions

There were two directions for the color choice. Direction one had a dominant yellow accent and a feature wall that avoided a monotonic visual experience. Direction two, which the client preferred, used dominant pink tones and avoided brave color accents.

The renders show different versions of the color scheme as well as furniture options.

final interior

The execution of the project is very similar to the proposed design. All the retail furniture was custom made. The box-type furniture is modular and had proposed storage compartments, while the tray tables displayed small items. The window backside had a radiator covered with a metal chain wall. And at the entrance, there is a podium box display in different heights for accessories.
